• Finding Major Inclusions in Stones which Set the Grade of the Diamond
• Examining the Stone for Surface Characteristics

The Programme also includes a Practical Workshop.

Day 2 - Colour

• International Grading Systems, GIA, CIBJO, EGL
• Fluorescence
• Using Master Stones to Grade Colour
• Grading Colour in Loose Stones
• Grading Colour in Mounted Stones

• The Round Brilliant Cut – Facets and Angles – How this Cut Affects Appearance
• Old European Cut – How this Cut Affects Appearance
• How Cut in General Affects Appearance – Reflection and Refraction
• Explaining the Cut Grade, i.e. Symmetry, Proportion, Table Size, etc.
