  • Various Distortions Of Diamond’s Shape. How to Adopt Shapes.
  • Lab: Practical Studies of Diamond Stress and Typing
  • Lab: Practical Studies of Weight Estimation

Day 2

  • Surface Features of Diamonds
  • Cutting of Diamonds
  • Diamond Cut for Weight, Diamond Cut for “Ideal”
  • Prediction by Yield or by Efficiency?
  • Clarity and Colour Grading
  • Lab: Practical Studies  of Surface Features of Diamonds
  • Lab: Practical Studies in Grading and Sorting

Day 3

  • Classification of Diamond
  • Work with Well Shaped Crystals
  • The Basic Cross-section and Alternative Cross-sections
  • How to Calculate the Future Diamond’s Weight
  • Update on the Latest Diamond Treatments, Imitations and Synthetics
  • Lab: Classification of Diamonds Rough
  • Lab: Practical Studies with Natural, Treated and Synthetic Diamonds

Day 4

  • Typomorphic Features of Diamonds of Various Origins
  • Polished Diamonds: Modern Grading Systems and Pricing Information
  • Work with Inclusions
  • Basic Difference between Two Rough Diamonds Grading Approaches: Classification/Pricelist and through Polished Prediction/Polished Pricelist
  • Valuation of Diamonds
  • Lab:  Evaluation of Rough and Polished Diamonds
Lab: Final Testing – A person who successfully passes the final exam will earn a GHI Certificate or a Letter of Completion if final exam is not taken/passed.
